1967/07/16, 2. BR Standard Class 3MT 2-6-0 No. 77002 sits with other stored locos at Wakefield MPD as the weeds begin to grow around them. On the left is B1 Class 4-6-0 No. 61012 Previous | Next1967/12/28. The last of the LNER B1 Class 4-6-0's to remain in capital stock (a few others were transferred to departmental stock) was No. 61306, which lasted long enough to make it into preservation, one of only two survivors. It has just been taken into store at Normanton MPD, its wheels and motion beginning to rust, along with some dumped wagons and an unidentified 9F 2-10-0. Thursday 28th December 1967.
