2009/06/16, 13. The starting signal from the south end of platform 7 at Shrewsbury is a wonderful double bracket GWR lower quadrant with short arms, Severn Bridge Junction Signalbox's signal No. 11. W&S 1P13 has the left hand signal "off" to take the curve towards Wolverhampton, 82305 leading the train with 67014 on the rear. The right hand signal would indicate a train bound for the Cambrian coast line or Hereford etc. The signalbox dominates the right hand side of the picture, this is now the largest mechanical signalbox still in use on Network Rail. 12:07, Tuesday 16th June 2009.
