1964/09/26, 4. A4 60009 "Union of South Africa" is backing down at Niddrie West Junction, Edinburgh, to take over from classmate 60007 at the head of the RCTS "Scottish Lowlander Railtour". 60007 had brought the train from Carlisle via the Waverley route, No. 9 took over to run to Glasgow and then Carlisle via Kilmarnock. Saturday 26th September 1964.
