Austria. 1973/01/24, 3. The rack line over the "Iron Mountain" - the Erzbergbahn - joined up with the mainline at Eisenerz, where there was an ore terminal for trains that worked the long way round to the steel works at Leoben, the other side of the mountain. 0-6-2RT No. 97.208 is waiting in the station with its coaches, a small track gang railbus alongside. The rack tank had arrived at 09:43 with the 08:20 passenger train from Vordernberg, it is now ready to depart at 12:20 back to Vordernberg. The engine is at the rear of the train as in the usual way the engine propelled the train up the rack line. The Erzberg itself can be seen towering over the church in the background. Wednesday 24th January 1973.
