Germany. 1971/04/06, 1. An unidentified Class 44 2-10-0 crosses the double-deck viaduct over the River Mosel at Bullay, the railway on the upper deck and the road below, the train of empty car-carriers working from Koblenz to Trier and onwards to France. The railway went into Prinzenkopf tunnel as soon as it crossed the bridge, emerging alongside the river again at the far end. There is also much riverborne traffic as witnessed by the barges and their crews. Tuesday 6th April 1971.

Seen from among the vines high on the hillsides above the River Mosel, Br 23 2-6-2 No. 023 069-4 is about to dive into Prinzenkopf Tunnel, next stop Bullay, as it works a passenger train from Trier to Koblenz on the afternoon of Tuesday 6th April 1971.
