Ffestiniog Railway. 1966/02/12, 1. The London Area Group (whose members were known as "LAGs") of the Ffestiniog Railway Society ran regular working parties to help out with the Permanent Way department at the railway. These were usually on winter weekends when the railway wasn't running and were great fun as well as instructional! Here, the loop at Penrhyndeudraeth station was being extended with new pointwork at each end together with associated re-ballasting. Fred Howe's PW Dept. Wickham Trolley is prominent in the foreground, while some of the ex-RAF wagons stand on the main line, a brakevan in the loop. Saturday 12th February 1966.
