1965/08/02, 2. Seaham Harbour Dock Co. Ltd No. 18, 0-4-0ST built by Lewin of Poole in 1863, Works No. 693, as an 0-4-0WT for the Londonderry Railway and later rebuilt. Here, it has been working at the lower level below the staithes at Seaham Harbour, and after standing for a while to build up boiler pressure it mounts an all out assault on Dogger Bank, the gradient back to the upper level! Monday 2nd August 1965.
